More stuff I do:
Pillowfish - duo of much-debated genre. We think we're probably prog folk. Have also been described as post-cool bohemian-art-folk. Two separate folk clubs called us 'not really our cup of tea' and 'not our sort of thing' but never elucidated, and a teenage boy in North Yorkshire told us we were 'like folk meets King Crimson'. We really ought to start a collection of these. Somebody once even thought we sounded exactly like a traditional Irish pub band for some bizarre reason. Have a listen, make your own mind up.
Unexpected Boutique - quirky handmade jewellery made from various things that are not traditionally associated with being included in jewellery. Website was recently redesigned, and features button jewellery, jigsaw jewellery, dice jewellery, safety pin jewellery, fabric brooches etc.
Button Jewelry - my main jewellery site, which I have spelt the American way in my link to it because I'm trying to SEO it for the US spelling and not because I am just being sloppily inconsistent. This, as you might imagine, sells jewellery made with buttons. It has been running for around four years now and has steadily expanded.
Other People:
Tom Drinkwater - Musician and the other half of Pillowfish.
Geek Chic - resistor, capacitor and other component jewellery, made by Tom.
Illustration by Nicolar Bell, artist and sibling. She also does character design, puppets, textiles, jewellery and more...
Fashion, fine art and music photography from beatnikcollective.co.uk - responsible for various Pillowfish promotional photos.Creative music workshops from Catherine Holbrook - Catherine runs workshops and also teaches piano, bassoon and voice.
Technology:
Premiumbeat Music Player - little embeddable widget for websites, free and paid versions available - very useful tool.
Second Life - 3D user-created virtual world. Despite the clunky-but-steadily-improving interface, many possibilities for all kinds of activities. Some arguably good, some arguably bad - whatever you choose to make of it. Pillowfish play live gigs streamed into SL, and are among the first few artists to do this using video as well as audio.
Aaaaand some web comics:
