Oh bloody hell.

I may have mentioned that the Really Good Drink has cloves in. Obviously the cloves are there to infuse rather than be swallowed. But I have just accidentally swallowed one. It is stuck in my oesophagus. I can feel it. I do not know how long it will stay there. I am a bit worried. However, cloves are known for their anaesthetic properties so perhaps it will kind of spread its juices into that area of me, and my throat will stop hurting.

Ooh. I think it just moved slightly and is now a bit further down.

Okay, next problem. Another thing I am a little concerned about is whether it is possible to overdose on Fisherman’s Friend. I have been chain-consuming it. Surely that amount of eucalyptus can’t be good?

And one more cold-related thing [anyone would think I had man-flu...]: I was just searching for ways to stop my nose running, and I found this page. I would normally be sceptical about sites which are called things like ‘mind energy’ but I tried the massage thing they were talking about, and my nose has, in fact, stopped running, which is excellent. One side is blocked up, but at least it’s all stationary in there which is a good state for just before bed. Plus I have now memorised where I need to press, so can repeat it throughout the night if necessary…

Blergh.

Shouldn’t have made all those holes in myself. Now I have a whole-body-encompassing sore throat, and I suspect the sore-throat-causing-beasties got in through the punctures I accidentally made in my hands the other day*.

On the plus side, it’s a genuine excuse to drink the Really Good Drink which is made of hot water, whisky, lemon juice, honey and cloves. Which is exactly what I am going to do now!

* Not really. That would be silly; and also I have been covering them with Savlon since the start of their existence.
